Open the Cover to view the impeller cover
With the impeller cover accessible turn the impeller cover clockwise to allow access to the impeller.
Always check any product info sheets for specific maintenance information.
Be careful to pull the impeller out horizontally to alleviate any ceramic shaft breakage. The rubber shaft bung may or may not come out with the shaft. Not a problem if it is still inside the pump.
Clean the inside of the pump. Pull apart all of the parts and clean thoroughly.
NOTE: Often plant fibres get wrapped around the ceramic impeller shaft so cleaning this separately is recommended.
If the impeller shaft or impeller is broken or damaged this will need to be replaced. Impellers are a consumable part and are not a warranty item.
Put the parts back together in reverse order, checking the impeller turns unobstructed.
Check the pump is working before returned to your pond or water feature.
